Mixed media on board
75cm x 75cm

Yes, it’s finished and no my kids didn’t do it.

As a noun, "sully" refers to a stain, blemish, or any impurity that mars the appearance or quality of something. As an artist, I refer to this painting being quite the opposite of that definition and was actually a deeply thought through exploration of material, all the while trying to hold back my instincts as I painted.

I was determined to get blobby coloured shapes and simple marks over layers of discarded timber, I got there - but my God it was beautifully frustrating.
