Permanence

A$3,800.00

2025
10mm folded steel, 2Pac
30cm x 130cm
Limited edition of 10

Permanence is a tribute to the rich and complex story of Rottnest Island. Its angular base evokes the island's somber history as an indigenous prison, acknowledging the lives impacted by colonisation, while its organic, uplifting form celebrates the island’s present as a place of reconciliation, relaxation, and shared joy.

Blending history and beauty, the sculpture hopes to capture Wadjemup's duality, offering a space for both reflection and celebration, much like the island itself.
