Nullarbor

Sale Price:A$1,700.00 Original Price:A$2,400.00
Sold

2020
Mixed media on timber panel
68cm x 121cm [custom box framed, floating behind glass]

I haven’t driven it yet, but I know plenty of people who have. Takes up to 3 days drive and it’s on the bucket list. I’ve always loved the Australian landscape. It’s raw expanse has always attracted and inspired me.

Historically, the Nullarbor was seasonally occupied by Indigenous Australian peoples, the Spinifex and Wangai peoples. Traditionally the area was called "Oondiri", which is said to mean "the waterless".

At its widest point, it stretches about 1,100 kilometres (684 mi) from east to west across the border between South Australia and Western Australia.
