Lots of challenges with this piece, but equally a lot of solid solutions and ideas. Strong shapes, solid colours and my usual layering showcases heavy texture and hidden delights.
For an artist, there’s a lot of geometry in this piece too. I use pretty simple maths to push the composition forward when I get stuck on what to do next.
The positive result is of course is bloody good balance. I wouldn’t say ‘plum’, but it’s close enough!
