Lesueur
"Lesueur” 2022
Mixed media on canvas
204cm x 147cm [box framed]
The family decided to hit the road this Christmas holidays with and head North to see the Pinnacles and stayed a few nights on a farm. Kids loved it all they had to play with was a swing and the top of a water tank. But it’s being in nature that fuels their imagination.
We went a bit further North from there and looked at another national park called Mount Lesueur. It made an impression on me as it was so Australian. The raw colours and unique flowers just stuck in my head.
I think it was just after a first heat wave where we were hitting 40+ degrees and as soon as you leave the shade you’re hit by a scorching sun hammer.
Needless to say, I took photos rather than sketch.
