Like any arts pursuit, your constantly hit with rejection. It's what makes you stronger and more determined I know.
Why we seek recognition from our academics and judges on is frustrating - but I keep doing it. I keep paying the $40 submission fee, seemingly only to be continually refused due to the usual; "The judging panel was highly impressed with the quality of the entries and the process was extremely competitive, however..."
I'm not having a bitch by any means. I get a few of these responses a year - it only stokes the fire. Pushes you harder.
