Rosella

A$7,700.00

2025
Mixed media on canvas
130cm x 180cm

Continuing my exploration of vibrant, geometric compositions in a vertical format, this piece celebrates the dynamic interplay of texture and narrative within bold, expressive colour fields. The work draws subtle inspiration from the industrial landscape of Fremantle Port, its towering cranes, weathered containers, and the decay of rust.

Balancing solid blocks of colour with delicate, unexpected details. I allow the paint itself to guide the evolution of each piece, finding beauty in spontaneity and the unplanned moments that arise.

This painting is a joy of contrast: the tension between structure and fluidity, between bold simplicity and intricate detail.
