Butter wouldn't melt

A$5,200.00

2023
Mixed media on canvas
125cm x 125cm [Redux]

Finalist in the Georges River Art Prize, 2023

Using a common Australia phrase for beauty, this artwork is inspired by WA’s golden and glittering sunsets and continues my exploration of the impact of repeated lines, the shapes they form and the instant and remarkable sense of peace that colour can bring.

With this as a focus, the texture and drama are woven together with hundreds of individual lines to create a composition offer captivating surprise.

Each stroke, the mark marking and pops of colour contributes to the overall visual allure and invites the viewer to create a story.

And I hope it's a happy one...
