Banksia

A$4,700.00

2025
Mixed media on canvas
120cm x 120cm

The two central shapes, inspired by banksia seed pods, symbolise growth, resilience, and the beauty of nature. These two pods represent my two young boys—standing side by side, each vibrant and distinct, yet connected. The rich background of greens, oranges, and blues represents a their worlds.

One always wanting to read and feel calm, while the other always wanting to be active and outside.

The centre blue outline feels like a pathway, perhaps symbolising our shared journey or the invisible bonds of family and the love that ties us together.
