“This was” Painted recycled limestone blocks on board. 180cm x 240cm, diptych. Commissioned for @dillydallysubiaco and made in collaboration with @studio_benson I was brought in to help consult on the art component with this project and immediately was interested in reusing the materials that was being removed during the refit of the space. Loved the urbanism and the texture of the discarded limestone and after a considered process with @studio_benson we liked the idea and symbolistic acknowledgment to the projects previous identity - while at the same time creating a new one.
