Its angular base evokes the island's somber history as am indigenous prison, acknowledging the lives impacted by colonisation, while its organic, uplifting form celebrates the island’s present as a place of reconciliation, relaxation, and shared joy. Blending history and beauty, the sculpture hopes to capture Wadjemup's duality, offering a space for both reflection and celebration, much like the island itself.
